Stoneweaver Chardonnay 2024
Stoneweaver might be a new release, but itâs got all the wine growing knowhow of the Allan family of Huia behind it. So we weren't surprised, just bloody impressed, when we tasted this delicious, generous, organic Chardonnay. Fruit from the Omaka Valley is fermented with natural yeast, and aged in large and small format oak with spontaneous malolactic fermentation. It has satisfying savoury richness, thatâs kept in check with balanced freshness. Weâd suggest there are few better value Kiwi Chardonnays around.
Clare and Mike Allan at Huia are Marlboroughâs original cool kids and truly passionate wine growers. Theyâre committed to working in harmony with their environment, using organic and biodynamic practices. Having started planting at their Wairau Valley site in the early â90âs, vine age adds to the complexity and balance of the excellent wines they produce.
