Tawhiti Ōwhiro Gamay Pinot Noir 2024

Product image 1

Tawhiti Ōwhiro Gamay Pinot Noir 2024

This unfolds beautifully in the glass, and we highly recommend sitting on it for few hours. It's immediately fruitful, vibrant and supple. As it opens up, so does some weight in the palate, a mineral drive and a brambly complexity. Rather than competing, Gamay and Pinot Noir seem to compliment each other perfectly here, both being sourced from the Two Terraces vineyard in Hawkes Bay.

Tawhiti was created by Matua Murupaenga and Imogen Weir. Their Māori natural wine label seeks to incorporate as much Māoritanga as possible, with Māori people involved in every aspect of production. Supported by Amy Hopkinson-Styles of Halcyon Days, they source certified organic fruit from Te-Matau-a-Māui Hawke’s Bay vineyards.
